Coming from a Burgundian wine-growing family, Olivier Leflaive inherits around twenty hectares of vines.
After studying business in Reims, he led the life of an artist before returning to Burgundy in the 1980s and becoming co-manager of the Leflaive estate with his cousin Anne-Claude.
He then decided to create his own breeding and winemaking house.
He surrounded himself with the oenologist Franck Grux with whom he made lovely, affordable wines, from purchases of estate grapes.
